MNW SecurityServices.

A first website for a ten-year-old armed response company in Kelvin, Sandton. Built around cover levels, response time and the fleet that arrives, so a Google search becomes a phone call.

01 · The brief

Ten years of armed response, and no website.

MNW Security Services has guarded Kelvin and the northern Sandton suburbs from 21 Westway since 2015, with a 4.8-star Google rating and a fleet that everyone in the area recognises. Until now the only place to find them was the Google listing. The site's job is to look as established as the company is, answer the three questions every household asks before signing a monthly contract, and make the call or WhatsApp effortless.

What the site has to do

01

Answer the real questions. How fast do you arrive, where do you cover, and who actually turns up. Each gets its own answer, high on the page.

02

Sell a contract, not a job. Three cover levels compared side by side, with what each includes, instead of a list of services.

03

Look the part. MNW's own photographs of the fleet, the officers and the crest. No stock imagery anywhere.

04

Drive the call. The phone number in the header, the hero, the contact section and a fixed bar on every phone screen.

05

Stay serious. A corporate, conventional layout in the company's own blue, in line with established South African security firms.

02 · Colour

Crest blue, vehicle blue, and a white page.

Both blues are lifted from the company's own kit: the deep blue of the crest and uniforms carries the headings and the dark cover-levels band, and the brighter blue of the vehicle paint handles links, buttons and hover states. The gold from the eagle is kept for one job only, marking the recommended plan, so it stays a highlight rather than a second brand colour.

03 · Typography

One working grotesk, and the crest lettering.

Archivo does everything on the page: bold for headings at a measured size, regular for body copy, small capitals for the navigation and section labels. It reads as industrial and direct, which is what a security company should sound like. The only exception is the M.N.W wordmark in the header, set in a heavy Times-style serif to match the lettering across the top of the crest.

The parts worth pointing at.

01

The fleet, in the first second

A contact strip above the navigation carries the address, phone and email — the convention on established security sites. Below it, the headline says exactly what MNW does and where, with the number as the primary button, and three of their own photographs crossfading beside the copy.

02

The three questions, answered plainly

Response time, coverage and who arrives each get their own row: an honest average for the core area, eight core suburbs and eight extended, and armed PSiRA-registered officers dispatched by MNW's own control room. A response crew beside a marked vehicle sits alongside, so the claim and the picture are on the same screen.

03

A contract, not a once-off job

The centre of the page is a dark band in crest blue setting out what every plan includes, then comparing Armed Response, Monitored Response and Guarded row by row. The gold marker sits on the plan most homes choose, and every plan's button opens the enquiry form with that plan already selected.

04

Where the vehicles actually are

Core suburbs where response is fastest, and an extended area a few minutes further out, with an invitation to send an address on WhatsApp if it falls outside both. Saying where you are slow is what makes the rest of it credible.

05

The form opens WhatsApp

Name, phone, address and which plan, then the details arrive already typed in WhatsApp rather than sitting in an inbox overnight. For a business whose customers call at 11pm, an email that waits until morning is the wrong channel.

06

Built for a phone at 11pm

A fixed Call and WhatsApp bar sits at the bottom of every phone screen, always within thumb reach. The plans stack into one column with the recommended one still marked, and the page works fully with no script at all.
